A word (or two or three) about our prices. It's understandable that customers assume that single outlet specialty stores are unable to compete on price with big boxes or chains, whose larger scale provides greater buying power. Customers also value personal service and are often willing to pay a premium for it. We do try to maintain a high standard of service, but as far as we can tell our prices for most items are close to or often lower. It's important to remember that large organizations also have larger overhead costs for both personnel and infrastructure. For example, mall owners demand high rentals for the foot traffic they offer to retail stores, and chains incur larger personnel costs for buyers and business systems. Nevertheless, our multi-store competition does beat us significantly on selected items, and also advertises sales more often. That being said, we think you will find our specials and closeout list brimful of attractive bargains.

We're happy to handle telephone and mail orders for delivery of most sale items almost anywhere, except kayaks and canoes (had some unfortunate shipping experiences with boats).
